Operating on a 24V DC fire alarm system circuit, the integrated electromagnetic release mechanism holds the door leaf open during normal daily pedestrian traffic to facilitate ventilation and unhindered egress. Upon activation of a smoke detector, thermal sensor, building fire alarm signal, or power outage, the closer automatically de-energizes, releasing the door so the heavy-duty hydraulic mechanism smoothly and securely latches it shut.
